Boo - a true low-cost charity
Within the UK volunteers operate 'Boo' as a 'virtual' Internet based, no frills, low cost charity. We have minimal stationery, no collection boxes, in fact no processes that incur unnecessary costs, diverting money away from the children that need it most.

Why the big charities can't compete with our cost structures!
Boo endeavours to keep its administration to a minimum and by using the Internet to collect donations we keep our costs down to less than 15p for every £1 donation (compared with the charity sectors average of 55p for every £1 donation).

We believe in rewarding our supporters with transparency in respect of all of our processes, operations and administration costs. View our feasibility study and business plan below.

We raise funds from four main streams shown below:

  • Payroll giving - Funds the main projects undertaken by 'Boo' by deducting donations directly from supporters salaries. This not only guarantees a steady flow of income but it allows us to recoup the tax paid and take advantage of the UK governments current 10% uplift in support of this initiative.
  • Child Sponsorship - Individual children are identified and financially supported by the 'adoption' of their education. Educational fees are paid directly to the schools and the child's progress and development closely monitored. Reports and updates are provided to the sponsor.
  • Corporate giving - We work with organisations to encourage corporate giving in terms of financial and administration support.
  • Entrepreneurial challenge - Innovative and creative fundraising activities where you can get involved. Ideal for students, businesses and community groups - are you up for the challenge?
